Access to the resource bank or the virtual hubs is not included – Membership is better value.

Opening non‑member places on training days

To widen access and keep the hub sustainable for all schools, we are opening our three full‑day training events to non‑member bookings at £150 per delegate, per day (effective from May/June 2026). Membership remains the best value at £400 per school for the full annual offer, which includes three bespoke CPD days for two members of staff, access to virtual hub sessions, and PTI resources & pathways.

What’s unchanged for members

  • Three bespoke full‑day CPD events (two staff places per day) with PTI‑sourced expert speakers and materials.
  • Access to the Virtual Hub (expert twilight sessions and professional discussion).
  • Access to PTI resources (recorded lectures and online courses).
  • Eligibility to apply for PTI pathways, such as the Primary ECT Certificate and the Primary Hub Mark.
  • Leadership development opportunities coordinated at hub level (Leadership Programme places, Primary Leadership Residential complimentary and bursary places), subject to PTI availability. (Allocated via the hub; not per membership).

Why the change?

Opening a limited number of non‑member places helps us maintain quality, retain expert speakers, and continue to provide outstanding value to members, while enabling more schools to experience the hub.

FAQ for Heads and Business Managers

Why introduce a non member day rate?

To keep the hub sustainable and high quality. Opening a small number of paid places allows us to retain expert speakers and extend access, while protecting the full value of membership.

Does the non member rate include virtual sessions and PTI resources?

No. Non‑member places cover attendance at the selected training day only. Members retain access to Virtual Hub twilights and PTI resources (recorded lectures and online courses).

What leadership benefits do members get?

Leadership opportunities are coordinated at hub level (not per school) and may include PTI Leadership Programme places for headteachers and Primary Leadership Residential places (one complimentary and one bursary across the hub, subject to PTI availability and hub allocation).

How many places do members get on each training day?

Two staff per member school, per full‑day hub event.

We attended as a non member — can we offset that cost if we join?

Yes — you may deduct one paid day place from your first year’s membership if you join within the same academic year.

How do we join as members?

Complete the Hub Sign‑Up Form, and we’ll be in touch to onboard your school.

Who do we contact for invoicing or queries?

Email office@fortistrust.co.uk or call Louise Tombs on 01634 683990.

What do CPD Days look like?

Each day will be structured around three key aspects:

    • An expert lecture from a keynote speaker sourced by the PTI, to enhance subject knowledge and provide inspiration for the classroom.
    • A subject pedagogy workshop to develop effective teaching and learning delivered by a PTI Teacher Leader (an experienced, practicing teacher).
    • A creative collaboration session to produce resources to use back in school in order to strengthen local network, share workload and ensure impact beyond the day.

An example programme:

    • Welcome & introductions
    • Welcome members as they arrive
    • Keynote speaker
    • Break
    • Subject pedagogy session led by a PTI Teacher Leader
    • Lunch
    • Creative collaboration session & agreement for follow up
    • Plenary & evaluations

After the day

Headteachers of each school within the Hub will be asked to complete an impact summary report after each Hub day. Attendees will also need to upload / share an example outcome from the day. This may take the form of a resource created, a scheme of work, etc dependent upon the focus of the day.

At the School Leadership Day

Benefit from the PTI’s wider network, celebrate the work achieved and share best practice. During a round table discussion, you will be asked to share the work undertaken within your Hub and comment on the impact and next steps.

How to achieve the PTI Mark

There are four steps towards achieving the PTI Primary Hub Leadership Mark for each school

    • The school must send at least one teacher to each of the three CPD days.
    • Teachers representing each school must upload resources inspired by the Hub days throughout the academic year.
    • Headteachers of each Hub school must complete a short impact summary after each day.
    • The Hub must be represented at the School Leadership Day by at least one headteacher (maximum of four) including the Hub Lead and be prepared to share the journey and the impact of Hub membership with other colleagues across the national network.

Some comments from recent PTI Hub days include:

“I have come away with useful knowledge and some new ideas to implement in the classroom.”

“A fascinating and useful exploration of the most effective methods for developing literacy.”

“There are lots of skills and activities I will take back to implement in school”

“The topics discussed were examined in an insightful and purposeful way

“The session was well paced and engaging
