Wellbeing Day

Fortis Trust staff will receive full induction support upon joining the team, plus ongoing personalised professional development opportunities, and wellbeing support.
Mindful Employer
As a Mindful Employer organisation, we also encourage staff to take part in regular wellbeing activities during the year, which involves opportunities to engage in a range of leisure, sport and health based activities. The Trust also has their own women’s netball team who compete regionally against other schools.

Bursaries
Applications from members of staff for a bursary will be given sympathetic support. Fortis Trust offers bursaries to employees who have registered for degree credit and professional body courses under the terms and conditions below.
Basic Eligibility
The bursary programme is available to:
All full-time and part-time staff with at least half-time appointments who have completed two years continuous service to the Trust by the first day of the academic session for which the bursary is awarded.
Courses Covered
- The bursary programme applies only to those courses and programmes related to gaining Qualified Teacher Status / Professional Certification.
- A member of staff must have been admitted to such a course or programme to be eligible for the bursary.
Value
- The value of the tuition bursary benefit is reviewed annually.
- The bursary awarded should also be used to assist with costs of travel, subsistence, books and other materials required for the course.
- The bursary benefit will not be credited for charges for courses that are cancelled by the student.
